What size pillow cover/insert should I purchase?
Square pillow covers in 20 x 20, and 22 x 22 inches are our most popular square sizes. Rectangle pillow covers in 12 x 22, inches are our most popular lumbar pillow sizes For a luxurious and full-looking pillow, choose a cover that is 1 to 2 inches smaller than the insert you will be using. As an example, we suggest a 22” insert for a 20 x 20 pillow cover. This upsizing is not necessarily needed for smaller lumbar covers. How are pillows fabricated?
All pillow covers are constructed with serged inner seams for a durable, lasting finish. Inner corners are trimmed to create a more pointed corner to the pillow. An invisible zipper is used along the bottom seam of the pillow cover for easy insert placement.
How do I carefully place an insert in the pillow cover?
We test our zippers thoroughly during the pillow construction process, and have seldom had a defective zipper. That being said, you must use some caution when placing the insert, and if you force or stretch the zipper, it may skip teeth or the corner stitching may tear. The best way to place an insert is to fold the insert in half (like a taco) and gently ease the insert through the opening of the cover with the zipper all the way open. Place the insert/pillow combo between your knees, squeeze the insert/cover combo between your knees to compress the fluff of the insert, and ease the insert into the corners of the pillow cover. Similarly compress the insert again near the zipper opening, allowing more room to easily close the zipper by holding the end of the zipper with one hand and slowly closing the zipper with the other hand. DO NOT FORCE THE ZIPPER AT ANY POINT. If it does not close easily, compress the insert more as above. Use those thighs, you can do it.
Can I customize this pillow?
All of our pillow covers are made-to-order, and some can be customized further. Send us an email letting us know what you have in mind (i.e. a unique size, size not listed, or a different fabric on the back, etc.) and we will provide a quote. Once you're ready to order, we'll send you an invoice through email.
When will I receive my order?
All our pillow covers are individually made-to-order and in most cases, unless otherwise noted or you have paid for Rush Service, our lead time is 1-2 weeks. Some pillow covers are special order and can take up to 7 weeks, and this longer lead time is noted in the product page. Once we have made your pillow(s) and have shipped your order, you will receive an email with the tracking information. Delivery to a U.S. address takes approximately 2-4 business days. We are not offering international shipping at this time. Inserts can only be shipped to the contiguous United States.
